About

Denise Evans, MSW, RSW

Adult & Teen Therapy

Becoming a therapist was a natural evolution of my career. I began in the field of Outdoor Education, where I witnessed the powerful impact of nature and movement on emotional well-being. Over time, I felt drawn to work more deeply with people navigating complex challenges. This led me to a therapeutic boarding school that blended time outdoors with clinical support, and eventually to becoming a therapist.

Today, I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW). For the past 18 years, I’ve worked with individuals and families facing a wide range of mental health concerns—including trauma, mood disorders, and addictive behaviours. My experience spans therapeutic boarding schools, community mental health services, and private practice, which I founded in 2021.

At the heart of my work is a strong belief that healing happens in connection—with ourselves, with others, and within the therapeutic relationship. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I’m trained in somatic and ego state therapies, which means I work with the body and the parts of the self that often carry pain, protection, and resilience. These approaches, alongside a deep understanding of trauma and attachment, help guide clients toward lasting transformation.

I’m passionate about helping people feel understood—and helping them better understand themselves. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, we can work together to move toward clarity, connection, and meaningful change.
